Who & What We Are

I know it has been a while since much has been going on with Fashion Passion, behind the scenes though it has been very busy. I'm not sure if everybody knows a lot about this endeavor, so maybe I should clue you in there first. Fashion Passion is just that, it is one of my passions. I love to design and sew and I do a wide variety of different crafts, from pottery to macrame' and way beyond. I design jewelry, make my own beads and have started working on my own dolls. I put dolls away for many years and picked them up again a few years ago after I made a huge mistake and sold a French papier mache doll for $3 that was worth thousands. Needless to say, I found dolls again. I've divided the business into categories to make it easier for you and I to keep up with. Celtic Lore Designs is the jewelry aspect of the business, Fashion Passion is the clothing design, anything that has to do with fashion. The Groovin' Granny is for candles, incense and all that sort of thing.

The name of the shop is The Groovin' Granny Barnwood Boutique and we are in a small town in the Ozarks presently, although we are thinking we could use a little more room and would really like to be closer to the rivers, which run clear water and are so relaxing and conducive to my artistic nature.

Now, for Moodle! Moodle is an interactive blog/teaching idea where your idea's are most welcome and encouraged. I found it in the one clicks provided by my Web Server, where they have all sorts of interesting things. The site is partially (at least) being moved to the https://groovingrannylive.com This is where we will do the lessons, so that we can easily discuss them, and hence, learn more ways of doing things.

Fashion Passion Makes a Big Move!

Fashion Passion is moving onto the server at groovingrannylive.com and over the course of the next few weeks, I will be setting up some lessons for different patterns and Doll making. These will include all the materials for the courses in the price of the lesson and when they are done you will have something wonderful for your doll to wear. It won't just be one item either, they will be complete outfits right down to the underwear. If you have suggestions or ideas for a class, just send it too me at fashnpassn@gmail.com More details to follow!

Shop Construction Underway

Since I do so much more than just dolls, fabric
and sewing, the name of the shop is The Groovin' Granny Barnwood Boutique. The place used to be a flea market, but that just doesn't work for me, so we have changed the ending of the name to better suit me. My activities are just everyday life, as far as I am concerned. I am interested in antiques and there are plenty of them in the store. I have been a collector for years and I have made oils, incense and candles since I can remember. I do beadwork, sew, and am learning to make soap.
I have spent months figuring out exactly how I want the window to be. Lars
has the window display built now and I painted the window.

Yahoo Group!

The Fashion Passion Group on Yahoo is up and running.
It is coming together slowly, getting all the information online is a time
consuming task. This is a one wo-man show, so to speak, and I wear all the
hats. It is growing quickly however, it is amazing what a person can get done when
they set their mind too it. I do hope you will join us, we have some great bargains
on kits and fabrics happening and many more to come!

Busy! Busy!

It has been so busy around here since I got well. My strength is coming back and of course, I've been pushing it (as usual!). In the last couple of weeks, I've gotten the website started. It still has a ways to go before it is completed. I'm working on sewing lessons, patterns, and getting kits together for sale.

Fabric Swatches Added!

Wow, it has been a busy week! It is so nice to be feeling better. The clothing I make can be customized according to the materials I have. I don't have a problem with that and I don't even charge a lot extra for it, although depending on the materials used, the prices may vary some. I have added the fabrics I have to photobucket http://s399.photobucket.com/albums/pp79/groovin_granny/Fabrics/ and if you go up to the groovin granny part you can find some of the other things I have in the store and the dolls and clothes I make. Photobucket has become my image site, and I keep a backup of course.

Today, provided I don't take a trip to Walmart, I plan to take photos of the laces and other notions I have and put them on photobucket. Some of them I will be selling. Everything except the material is for sale outright. The material, I keep for creative purposes. I have to buy to often not too.

Now that I am feeling better, Let's Get this Show on the Road!!
